Trains stuck on a simple junction

Post by vitalyb »

I did a basic X junction and put the two-way signals and trains keep waiting too long and sometimes just stuck completely (even put the new colorful ones when it stuck the first itme ).

Any ideas?

Im not sure exactly how your setup there is supposed to work, however, you seem to have a one way signal to the right of the train going across the way..

That train wont go through there since it the signal is saying basically go from right to left only.

Why don't you just build a bridge or a tunnel instead of that junction?

If it loops to the end of the sation (back), you need to add a signal at the back of the station. The train on the x is waiting for the train exiting the station to clear the track.. and it's waiting for the one on the x....

Well because building a bridge is more expensive AND slower (usually).

Anyway, I found the problem (hope I got it right), the distance between the two signals must be longer than the train itself. I am not sure exactly what's the logic of the signals here, but it seems to be working anyway - I spread the signals a bit and had no more problems with this junction.
